It Is Finally Here!
This blog is a mix of information about CGA and my own heart. There is really no clear direction here, I just wanted to share with you all what the next week of my life will probably look like and what has been on my heart as I’ve been preparing to move.
It’s here!
I cannot believe that I move to Gainesville, GA to start this next chapter at Center for Global Action in just 3 days! March 16th will start a new season filled with clarity, leadership, discipleship, understanding, knowledge, growth, and best of all Jesus!
This Friday I will head to Gainesville to move into the Cabin. This is a big house where myself and 7 other women along with a house mentor will be living during our time at CGA.
The program is set up kind of like school. On Monday’s we will take part in all staff worship along with the staff members of Adventures in Missions (I am so excited for this), then we will get about an hour to write thank you notes to supporters, pray over them, and seek extra support that we may still need. Tuesday through Friday we start at 8:15. We will have classes and workshops on different subjects ranging from servant leadership, discipline, influence, co-leadership, freedom, debriefing, and much more. I will also be required to work in the community. I have not yet pinned down where this will be, but I’m trusting that God will bring the right place along.
So this is it. This is just a brief look into what my world will look like starting this Friday. I honestly can’t believe the time has come for me to move. I’ve been anticipating this day for months and it is finally here. Leaving home is bittersweet. I have such deep roots here and my heart is so connected to this place and the people I will be leaving behind, but I know that this coming season is going to be so good.
I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has prayed, supported financially, and given me encouragement. I am happy to report that you all have given an astounding $3,754, which puts we at over 50% funded for CGA!! I am blown away by the way you all are supporting my mission to learn more about Jesus and what He has for me in the lines of ministry work. Fundraising for me is the most amazing way to see God’s provision in action. I am so humbled by the generosity of everyone who has given to this journey!
I am so excited for what this program is going to bring. I feel like Jesus has been setting up my heart in preparation for what is to come. My time with Him over the last week or so has been about identity. He has been speaking my identity over me, He has placed me in situations where He got to show me my identity, and He has been singing over me a new song! I truly feel that He has been preparing my heart for this new season. I feel like it is going to be marked by intimacy with the Father and further understanding of who He is and who I am! It is going to be sweet and hard at the same time. I am expectant on God to move in my heart and continue to show me who He is and how I can serve in His kingdom in response to that.
Although I am over 50% funded there is still a ways to go. The total cost of the program is $5950, which covers housing and the program cost (books, materials, etc.). I still need to raise $2,196 by May to cover the complete cost of the program.
